Service Agreement & Liability Disclaimer

Effective Date: 10/1/2025

This Service Agreement outlines the responsibilities, safety requirements, and liability limits of both Coastline Crewboat & Launch (“Company”) and its clients (“Customer”). By requesting or confirming a service, the Customer agrees to the following terms.

1. Scope of Services

Coastline Crewboat & Launch provides inland launch, crew transfer, potable water delivery, diving and salvage support, firefighting assistance, spill response, and marine logistical services throughout the waterways of New York and New Jersey.
All operations are subject to weather conditions, safety requirements, and vessel availability.

2. Scheduling & Confirmation

  • Services must be scheduled in advance through our dispatch team or website contact form.
  • Confirmed bookings are subject to change if safety, mechanical, or weather conditions make operation unsafe.
  • The Company reserves the right to postpone, modify, or cancel a service at its discretion to maintain crew and client safety.

3. Payment Terms

  • All services will be invoiced according to the quoted rate at the time of booking.
  • Payment is due upon receipt unless otherwise stated in writing.
  • Additional fees may apply for extended hours, emergency mobilization, or specialized operations.

4. Safety Requirements

  • Customers and passengers must follow all safety instructions issued by the vessel captain and crew.
  • Coastline Crewboat & Launch complies with U.S. Coast Guard regulations and maintains strict operational safety standards.
  • Failure to comply with crew directions may result in immediate termination of service without refund.

5. Assumption of Risk

Marine operations involve natural elements and environmental variables beyond anyone’s control.

By boarding or engaging with our services, the Customer acknowledges and accepts all inherent risks associated with marine transportation and vessel operations, including but not limited to:

  • Rough seas, weather changes, or tidal variations
  • Vessel movement or boarding hazards
  • Mechanical issues or equipment delays

6. Limitation of Liability

Coastline Crewboat & Launch, its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be held liable for:

  • Injury, loss, or damage to any person or property arising during or after service
  • Delays or cancellations caused by mechanical failure, weather, or safety concerns
  • Loss of income or project delays related to rescheduling

The Customer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Coastline Crewboat & Launch from any claims, damages, or expenses resulting from the use of its vessels or personnel.

7. Insurance & Compliance

  • All Coastline vessels carry U.S. Coast Guard certification and appropriate insurance coverage.
  • Customers are responsible for maintaining their own insurance coverage for personnel, equipment, or cargo transported on board.

8. Emergency Procedures

  • In the event of an emergency, the captain’s authority is absolute.
  • All passengers must follow safety instructions and emergency procedures as directed by crew.

9. Cancellations

  • Cancellations should be made as early as possible.
  • Failure to provide reasonable notice for a confirmed booking may result in applicable fees.

10. Agreement Acceptance

By scheduling, confirming, or utilizing Coastline Crewboat & Launch services, the Customer acknowledges full understanding of and agreement to these terms.
